ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, held a telephonic conversation with the United Arab Emirates' Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office.
During the call, the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, including the prevailing regional situation.
The UAE Foreign Minister appreciated the decisions taken by Pakistan's National Security Committee in response to India's baseless allegations.
Highlighting the importance of dialogue for regional peace and stability, Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the need for continued diplomatic engagement. Both sides agreed on maintaining close consultation and cooperation in light of the current regional developments.
It is worth noting that the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister had recently completed a two-day official visit to Pakistan earlier this month.
